Frequently asked questions
01
Is Semi Permanent Makeup suitable for me?
Most people are suitable for Semi Permanent Makeup however there are some medical conditions and medications that could prohibit certain treatments. This is why you will be invited to attend a thorough consultation including completion of a medical history questionnaire. If you are under 18 years old or pregnant or breast feeding then unfortunately SPMU is unsuitable for you.
02
Can I bring a friend with me?
Each procedure lasts anything from 90 minutes to two and a half hours so as long as your friend doesn't mind sitting in the waiting room for this length of time then you are welcome to bring someone along for moral support. Please remember that this procedure is tattooing and therefore the clinic is subject to strict licensing law which strictly prohibits minors from the premises. Please make childcare arrangements for your children and do not bring anyone under the age of 18 with you.
03
Is it sore?
Everyone has different pain thresholds but most people are surprised by how the eyebrow and eyeliner treatments are almost pain free. The lips are the most sensitive area so can sting a bit but most people feel it is bearable. All the treatments are tattooing procedures so some discomfort, however minimal, should be expected. There can be some swelling but you should be able to return to work immediately after a treatment.
04
How long will it last?
The pigment can be in your skin for anything from 1 to 5 years however it is very much dependent on your skin type, after care, lifestyle, colour of pigment used and certain medications. This will all be discussed at your consultation. As a rule of thumb most people require a "brightening" procedure at around 12 to 24 months after the initial treatment.
