Skin Boosters
Skin Boosters are an advanced injectable treatment designed to deliver deep-skin hydration. The increased hydration levels deliver lasting moisturisation & nourishment within the skin, improving the skin’s elasticity, firmness & creating a fresh, glowing & natural look.
Skin boosters focus on improving the overall health, texture, and hydration of the skin. They specifically work to target dryness, crepey skin and fine lines – making them the perfect alternative to anti-wrinkle treatments.
It is recommended you receive 2 to 3 treatments spaced 2 - 4 weeks appart to maximise the cumulative effects. After this you can expect your booster to last for up to 12 months.
For an allover boost of a large area such as face, neck, Decolletage or hands, Profhilo is the best option.
If you're looking to concentrate on a more specific area such as smokers lines or fine lines/dark shadows under the eyes then Seventy Hyal would work best.
Anti Wrinkle Injections
What's involved?
Tiny injections of a toxin called Botulinum are given to relax & prevent a muscle from moving for a limited time. This softens the lines & wrinkles of the face.
Is it sore?
The injections are very superficial so there's no need for pre-numbing as you mostly just feel a slight scratch. A couple of spots, such as the lower crows feet can have a split second nip.
Is there downtime?
Not much. You may experience slight bruising & minimal swelling at injection points. You can't wear make-up or creams on the treatment area that day but can go back to normal routine the next day.
What areas can be treated with it?
The 3 main treatment areas are the forehead lines, the horizontal "frown" lines between your eyebrows & the crows feet. They all count as one area each & can be treated individually or all together, except the forehead lines. The lines between your brows have to be treated at the same time as the forehead lines, otherwise the forehead muscle would end up too heavy & push your brows down.
When will I see results?
The toxin starts to work about 3/4 days after the injections. Results will start to show from about day 7 with the full effect visible at day 14.
How long does it last?
Anything between 3 & 6 months depending on many factors including lifestyle. You will be offered a 2 week review where you can pay for a small top up if you haven't achieved the result you desired, everyone's muscles are different so can react differently. It is important however, that after the top up (if required) you wait a minimum of 12 weeks before your next treatment as some people can develop antibodies & become resistant to the toxin if there isn't an appropriate gap between treatments.
Anything else I should know?
Not suitable if you're on blood thinners, undergoing treatment for cancer, pregnant or breast feeding. If you have been on antibiotics, wait at least 8 weeks from completion to maximise chance of success. You shouldn't lie down or bend over for prolonged periods for 4 to 6 hours after treatment to allow the toxin to settle appropriately. No exercise for 24 hours & no heat treatments e.g. spa, sauna, sunbeds or sun bathing for 2 weeks.

Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are a cosmetic treatment which involves small injections. They are used to return volume to areas of the face that have lost volume during the natural aging process. They can also be used to plump thinning lips.
Dermal fillers are temporary because the body eventually breaks down and absorbs the materials they are made from. The filler typically last six to twelve months.
I use a Hyaluronic acid based filler. HA is a naturally occuring component of the skin's connective tissue. As we age our ability to reproduce the HA diminishes which causes our skin to become dehydrated, increasesing the appearance of the signs of aging.
